WINDSOR, England – A miniature copy of Britain’s Imperial State Crown, part of Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, is on display at Windsor Castle. The dolls’ house, given to Queen Mary in 1924, is a depiction of British craftsmanship. As part of the centenary celebration, visitors can now get a closer look at the miniature crown. The dolls’ house, designed by Edwin Lutyens, is an Edwardian-era townhouse that showcases the everyday objects and luxuries of royal life in the early 20th century. Despite the name, no dolls have ever inhabited the house. Its purpose was to stimulate British craftsmanship after World War I.
